The Inauguration of Khmer-Booyoung Taekwondo Center to use officially

The Khmer-Booyoung Taekwondo Center was inaugurated to use officially under the presidency of Excellency Sok An, Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of the Ministers Council last 26th October 2012 in the afternoon. This center started to build since 2007 and spended $ 450.000 (USA) which sized 40m X 40m and there are 2 halls for staying, one for male athletes and other for female athletes. There are 5 offices and one meeting room sized 10m X 17m and the hall for training is 22m X 40m.
The Taekwondo has flowed to Cambodia since 1971 with 3 Korean Coaches until 1974 they went back to Korea Republic. In 1995, the Cambodian Taekwondo Federation participated with the World Taekwondo Federation (WTF). In Cambodia, there are 2 styles of Taekwondo, one WTF and another ITF (International Taekwondo Federation), Excellency Thon Khon, the Minister of the Ministry of Tourism and the President of NOCC and the President of the Cambodian Taekwondo Federation said.
Excellency , Deputy Prime Minister Sok An continued that: By seeing the important of sports in Cambodia, just the Royal Government to work hard and arranged to have the sport clubs, sport associations, physical teachers and the sport competitions of Kids, youths and public to boost up health and capabilities of competitions. Recently, the Royal Government allowed the Ministry of Tourism and Phnom Penh Municipality to organize up to build a new stadium in the modern style and follow up the international standard and given the name ( Techo Heritage National Stadium). He is seriously confident that (The new national stadium which will be built soon, it could help to develop and increase to sports and tourism in Cambodia).
